Know the format
The Goethe-Zertifikat B1 covers reading, listening, writing and speaking. Use the Goethe-Institut's official sample materials for the exact task format.
Keep a record for each skill
After a reading or listening task, note whether vocabulary, pace or instructions caused difficulty. Revise writing in two passes: content and structure first, language second. Practise follow-up questions and responses when speaking.
Try a short presentation
Choose a familiar topic such as studying at home. Describe your experience, give an advantage and a disadvantage, and explain your opinion. Ask a partner for a follow-up question. This original practice activity does not replace an official sample paper.
